ok, i think that last post was a little bit over-zealous. i just can't be a MUCH MUCH BETTER person, i just can't do it. i'm sorry. i'm working on trying to be SOMEWHAT BETTER right now.
and that's going marginally ok. right now i'm very very excited, because a BIG SPRINGFIELD FAMOUS PERSON has agreed to be in one of the videos for the show! i hope i can actually make it happen; it's sort of getting down to the wire now for the show and the videos and all of that.
i'm sorry to say that i'm still a little too laid back about everything. everything APPEARS to be in hand, but what about the stuff that i've forgotten to add to my list? that's the problem; i can do it if it's on the list, but if it's not even there, well, it won't get done.
for example, the ad for the illinois times. i forgot entirely about it. until Mom called the night before it was due and said, "grace, are you going to have an ad?" and i TOTALLY FORGOT! you'd think i would remember something important like that.
but hopefully the ad will be there tomorrow, people will POUR INTO THE SHOW, and everything will be hunky dory.

first of all, how is is that it's JULY 15TH ALREADY??? to me, this means that summer is HALF OVER. kind of upsetting, quite frankly. for example, today i was so busy that i didn't spend hardly any time at all outside. except tonight, and i promptly got approximately a zillion mosquito bites.
ok, also, GRACE TALK #2 IS IN TWO SHORT WEEKS!!!! time has really been slipping away from me lately (see above). i have many, many things to do between now and then. at least this time i feel that ultimately everything is going to work out and things will be fine. but i think i've been a little TOO much in this kind of laid-back mode; suddenly, there ISN'T MUCH TIME.
so, starting right now, i'm going to be a MUCH MUCH BETTER PERSON.

it would be better, as a matter of fact, if i were sleeping right now, instead of writing here. but once i get started, of course, i just can't stop.
here's my current dilemna: last week i was out in the sun and i got tan marks. and the dresses i'm going to be wearing in the show will look bad if i have the tan marks. so i was thinking of getting a spray-on tan. some people said, yes, do that. and then, very quickly, other said, NO, DON'T DO THAT, YOU'LL BE ORANGE. like a giant Oompa Loompa.
That would be bad.
I think it would be fun to try the spray tan, just because it seems like such a weird thing to do. but orange is not the color i would prefer to be.
there was a funny "friends" episode where ross tried one of those spray tan places, except he didn't turn around and so only the front of him was deep tan, and his back was white.
My New Boyfriend wanted to know if i had a tube top; he said i could just get a tan in the sun. with my tube top on.
i did have a tube top, in high school. i'm afraid i did probaby wear it out in public.
but it's gone now, thank god.
how to tan, such a quandry. it's always something. but if i look orange up there on the stage, you'll know that i made the wrong decision. but if i WAS orange, then i'd probably take a million showers and scrub my skin till all the orange went away. so if i look like my skin is a little raw, then you'll know i did that.
